The Perfect Break Up - nice short story that I read somewhere

The Break Up

I watched with awe and amazement as she came out of her hiding place. First, a little peep over the ledge and then her whole absolutely symmetrical body. A perfectly blonde head and a body you could die for. White as a virgin island's sand. I stared at her with admiration and fear. She had changed the course of my life. Everyone said that she was killing me softly without me realizing it.

At first, like all bachelors, even I just wanted to hang around with her and show her off as my new found love. I was successful too. I raised many eyebrows but at the same time I was shit scared of introducing her to my family, even as "just a friend". We met scarcely in the beginning but gradually we bumped into each other more often, sometimes not willingly or sometimes through a common friend. We grew close, so close that I was addicted to her.

Days passed into weeks, into months, into years. We were together all the time. She accompanied me to office, to the movies, shopping, even to my bed. We were inseparable. I felt great but inside me a feeling of guilt was beginning to rise. I was not keeping well off late. I used to get tired very soon and my mood was always cranky. At first I thought it was because of my close association with her but then I realized it was much more. She always stood by me in my times of distress and was of great help too.

It was only later that I realized that all this while, it was she who was killing me softly every time I kissed her. My deteriorating health made me reach a conclusion finally. I had to break up with my love. I didn't want to but I had to. I had no other option. I was dying and I didn't want her to be with me while I died. She was great with me and we had some great times but now she must leave me alone. She was too good to be ignored and I was sure that she would have already chosen her next victim by now.

I finally collated all the courage I could and decided to confront her with the harsh truth of breakup.

Sitting in the balcony in my favorite shorts and T shirt, I pulled her out from where she was hiding behind me. Looking at her, I felt sorry, she was so innocent and yet…….. I had to kill her.

"Whats the matter darling?", she asked me with the most tender care and utmost love.

"My love,", I said kissing her lightly, "I have to leave you now. Its been a long time and we had a heavenly experience. We were a match made in heaven"

"Oh yes we were and we still are…. Then why do you want to leave me? You know how much I love you and how much you love me. You know we cant stay without each other. Please don't leave me now… I'll die".

"Im sorry my love but I have made a decision", one more kiss.

"Why? Have you found someone else? Is there someone who can make you happier, remove your sorrows the way I can? Help you in times of pain?"

"Yes there is someone else. But you wont understand coz you don't have a heart."

"I loved you more than anyone ever did. You will be sorry for this."

I could feel her heat in my hands and could sense the fire running within her. I had to stay calm. She was now withering away and I was almost there… My goal was almost reached….

After a few more kisses and heated words I finally was able to convince her. "Goodbye" I said and sent her tumbling down from my fourth floor balcony. She watched me as she descended the distance until finally her head struck the floor below. Red sparks flew and my love, the cigarette bud, died without a sound. I broke up from my love, SMOKING

I want more

Not many posts these days and so i thought shall post something and din know whatta post and finally decided that will post on what most of us do these days. Its about our online life - the alter ego for most .
I want more - yes that's what has driven the mankind and its what evolution is all about. Its human race's quest for newer more things is what evolution is about .. hey wait am not gonna talk about it and a blog post is not enough :P.
I still remember those days when i created my first hotmail email address which i still have and I want more and created some 10 other email addresses including those from usa.net(went paid soon) and mailcity.com(now lycos.com).There were days checking email in dial up connection was an event all by itself.hehe yeah.In fact i vividly remember people calling friends to tell them that they had sent an email.yup email access was a luxury for most then.
I want more...then came Instant messaging followed with voice chat and web cam chat and now you can do all that from within a web page. awesome right.Well theres nothing called free lunch and so along came ads, click-ads, adsense and zillion modes of revenue. I want more..In a way Google must be given a lotta credit for this change from search to email to online docs and much more .
Early summer day in 2004 and I was so excited .. why .. since some friend of mine who had some Google contact invited me to join gmail which is again -I want more-- and yeah today google gives you like 7 GB of email space. MORE.It did not end with email and IM and along came blogs. what are blogs?most know what they are. Yeah its an whole website all for yourself and more one can make money of it .you got it bingo - I want more--.

Email is ubiquitous these days and I feel lost its charm . mebbe . mebbe not. IM is private. yeah it must be.Blog is public .That's what they are meant to be.Blogs are here to stay coz most websites are in a way a blog either of a reporter or an author.Thats not the end of it. I want more . And every human has this curiosity to know what someone else is upto and since most of us are "online" Enter "Social Media".Yes I want more.
What the fuck is social media ?? In simple terms know what everyone reads, watches, drinks, eats, sleeps .. everything literally .oh well wheres the more factor ?.Its there here with a numerous modes of marketing and revenue streams since its all about the target audience with the difference being them available online. There are many who earn their bread outta these. I want more . Yes We want !!!.
Recently hooked onto this social thing called "Twitter" . when friends asked me what it is about i said its like an online chat room everyone in one big room?its like a chain email or IM where you dont really have to reply?well twitters users can argue since its not exactly is twitter is about.twitter helps in finding jobs, cars even girl friends and to catch up latest buzz news.Wheres the "more" factor? Its on the way or mebbe it already is in the form of ads i guess.Mebbe sometime later people have to click an ad to read a tweet. That would suck . but something will happen because I want more .. yes we want.
So will twitter replace everything else ? nah. it cant . never.why? how ? because I want more . Yes we want ..:P.

To Dada

It has been an emotional day for a cricket fanatic like me as I watch the Goodbye Ganguly programs glorifying the Prince of Calcutta as he quits.Saurav Ganguly announced his retirement from international cricket with the current oz series being the last.
Watching Ganguly caress the cherry on the offside is a treat to the eyes and as Geoff Boycott would say " Next to God its Saurav Gaanguly on the offside".Ganguly was one of those cricketers who got going when the going got tough and in more than one occassions got the Indian team going .
From nowhere to a Century on debut at Lord's ,mastering in the One day game as an opener and being in the league of Sachin-lara-MarkWaugh-Jayasurya-Anwar ,Sahara cup wins, winning the Natwest trophy,World cup 2003 finals, 100 at the gabba and wins abroad at Australia,South Africa, Pakistan,West Indies he lead the team to great glories.
Call him arrogant, violent but he instilled the spirit in the young Indian side , backed youngsters with constant support and that made the world look up to him when Team India fought well.
He had his share of controversies and low points which I feel is part and parcel of the game.
In spite of his performances I felt that he was under constant scrutiny but the Toast of Bengal weathered it all in style with his long awaited Century at Eden Gardens against Pakistan being one of those wonderful moments. Hes still in contract with the Kolkata Knightriders in IPL and hope his magic continues there.
I am very happy that Dada played cricket at the time I am following the game .
Good Bye Saurav !!!!

[Fwd] time

twitting keeps blog posts down .. thats an excuse...
got this email forward . might be old news though..

Investment analyst and entrepreneur Dr. Marc Faber concluded his monthly bulletin (June 2008) with the Following:

''The federal government is sending each of us a $600 rebate. If we spend that money at Wal-Mart, the money goes to China. If we spend it on gasoline it goes to the Arabs. If we buy a computer it will go to India. If we purchase fruit and vegetables it will go to Mexico, Honduras and Guatemala.

If we purchase a good car it will go to Germany. If we purchase useless crap it will go to Taiwan and none of it will help the American economy.

The only way to keep that money here at home is to spend it on prostitutes and beer, since these are the only products still produced in US. I've been doing my part.'

Devaaa

In some recent interview music director Deva had said that he too had done some remix songs for some question on remix.
I think its very true... cos he had lifted so many tunes used in his songs and i think he considers them as remix ...

Do you like fire drills ?

well, i like it. On a warm afternoon day, I was getting bored at work and was wondering what i can do and suddenly this fire alarm started ringing and everyone started moving out of their seats to take the steps down outside the office building. I was like - wow thats kewl..Along with the crowd slowly walked down the stairs ( just wonder how people are gonna walk when there is real fire).Outside it was kinda bad as the sun was belting down but I still managed a phone call to my friend as i stood under a tree.It was definitely relaxing.
The speed at which people walk during a fire drill was so slow that one can compare to the crowd moving out of a cinema theatre after a good relaxing movie . Me n friends even used to comment that at the ground there might be some tv reporter standing with a mike asking first hand comments from the audience :P.There was even an instance when we just slipped out of office during a fire drill one late afternoon for a movie . :)

Think simple

Think simple is one thing i keep telling myself and am sure most of us would have said it to ourselves at some point of time.
Today I wanted to look at the time and so i searched for my mobile which wasn't to be found and then looked around for my computer only to think that i had to reboot it and finally saw it in my good old watch on the shelf. Yeah if i had just looked at the watch to start with it would have been very simple..

Some youtube digging about Hindi Music director pritam revealed that he has not scored a single song by himself. What the fuck ... even the ordinary songs of him are all copied. He hasnt left any geography untouched , lifted songs from china, indonesia, afghan and all over the world and few from older Hindi and Bangla albums.some of the songs i really loved (almost all ...:P) are all plagiarised.

Moocha Paisa !

Oh yeah Pee to get paid is a scheme launched in Tamilnadu which seems to have improved the sanitation standards in rural areas and as well as helped people make some money too.

It pays to use a toilet in southern India, as residents are earning close to a dollar a month by using public urinals, a scheme launched by authorities to promote hygiene and research in rural areas.

Dozens of people are queuing up to use toilets in Musiri, a remote town in Tamil Nadu state, where authorities have succeeded in keeping street corners clean with the new scheme, The Times of India newspaper said on Sunday.

Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na

Colorful, funny, beautiful, simple etc are the tags I will associate with this movie. This is one of those 'like'able non masala-ic at the same time melodramatic (sort of)movie with loads of comedy.I watched this movie for AR Rahman and Genelia and no expectations whatsoever and yeah I am already addicted to the songs in the movie.Enough justice has been done to ARR's music in picturizing the songs well and rerecording wherever it appears is superb.yes most of the movie is kinda without the background music as in scenes with dialogues between various characters.
Genelia, boy hasnt she been impressive in every movie she does from boys to santosh subramaniam(shes a hit in telugu as well) and shes grows in this movie as well.
The scene in which she talks to the hero over phone after the hero goes on his first date speaks for her performance. She is expressive.yes she is.
The Hero Imran Khan (Aamir Khan's nephew) scores well in his debut movie with a wonderful performance. He has excellent screen presence and emotes really well for a debutant.Another star in the making.
The Gang of friends and the gal whos listens to this story have all done their part well with "Roltu"s comedy and Jiggy's gujju ishtyle( sooosanthh) standing out.
All credits to the director for his screenplay and special mention for the cinematography.
barring certain scenes at the end (funny but illogical) all in all its a great movie to watch.go enjoy .
kabhi kabhi aditi zindagi......

p.s
story is in a way similar to a tamil film called 'piriyadha varam vendum'...

Dasavatharam - worth the hype

Makkale ,

I go to a movie to have fun and not to question too much. If we keep doing that we wont be able to watch 90% of the movies.
Moroever after watching movies on the internet desis start analysing movies a little too much ( 10 roova kuduthutu 1000 roova ku expect pannuvanga. typical desi mentality)

Highlights- Kamal actor, Kamal script, Kamal Hardwork, Kamal dedication, Kamal body language.........as usual this never ends.

Other Highlights -
Late Sujatha and Crazy Mohan dialogues
Camera .
Editing.
Graphics.
Background score.
Comedy
Richness and lavishness.
First Half.
Asin- ravishing and expressive.
Script linking all 10 roles.
Equal support and bashing of God, Atheism and religion.

Kadilights
Second half less crisper and slower than first.
Slightly longer Kamal - Asin arguments where u might say " mudiala ".
Long fights with some stunts which make us say "aaaagaaaa".
Graphics. yes there are some poor graphics too.
Asin's high pitch voice is irritating at times.
Music by Himesh Reshamiyya is a colossal waste frankly the movie needs no songs.
Certain KS Ravikumarish commercial elements doesnt really gel with the movie.

Things to look out

Timing and dialogue comedy. Most of the audience were dumb enough not to appreciate it .If you liked Panchatantrum,PKS type comedies you will love this.
All 10 roles were good but Naidu- Complete fun, Dalit activist - action and body language, CIA Agent Villan - Peter machi peteru and George Bush - u known what, stand out.
First Kamal movie without a mouth..
After a long time the heroine in this case Asin shares the screen space with Kamal in almost 90% of the movie.
Watch out for height , weight variations that Kamal shows in different roles

In the end ...

Just don give a crap to poor comments and go watch it atleast once. The hardwork and money spent shows up on the screen though certain parts defy logic...

after all Cinema is Magic without Logic ..

cheerleaders arent welcome

There has been some talk about the skimpy clothing that the cheerleaders sport during the ongoing twenty twenty IPL tourney. In Mumbai they are gonna be banned from cheering in future games.enna koduma sir idhu.. avanga paatuka cheer pannitu poranga :)

well as I was browsing found this photo of kareena kapoor in a new Hindi movie. come on people the cheerleaders dress is better than this i guess.
On screen glamour is welcome and on field it isnt . what crap...

Don'ts

One thing that should not be done is getting a seat under or in front of the menu board in a restaurant/eatery .Why ? because people will be looking at the menu and you may feel that they are watching you and eating while someone staring at you isnt fun .

Color changing Saree

Well not too sure if there is any sari of this kind out in the market .
Ok why the post ?
Has anyone observed during some songs played in SUN TV and affliated channels that the color of the sari or dress of the Heroine( rarely Hero) keeps changing frequently.I initially thought that this was a feature in some specific songs.Later noticed that one particular song where the color changes in SUN TV and not so in another channel. Then read/ heard somewhere that SUN TV has this software (not sure of any patent) that does this color changing trick. If someone had observed this do comment..

Thala - Pacino.. Just the looks ;)

Thala Ajith sharing screen space with the great Al Pacino .Well not really but thanks to photoshop he does ;-). Picked this picture from a forum which compares the new looks of Ajit is his next movie Aegan to that of Al Pacino in the movie Serpico.Looks a lot similar or do u call this a rip off . ahem..

Check this out. The director of Aegan Raju Sundaram (choreographer) says ---"“His character in the film is of a violent police officer capable of completing the task entrusted to him and required abeard for the tough look” .

And Look what IMDB says about Serpico ---
Tagline:
Many of his fellow officers considered him the most dangerous man alive - An honest cop.
Plot Outline:
The true story about an honest New York cop who blew the whistle on rampant corruption in the force only to have his comrades turn against him.

Do i smell something fishy here .You guessed it right. Not just the looks but even the story might be ripped off .. well ..inspired ... and some say thats plagiarism...

Foobar

Music Lovers might already know about Foobar which is a highly configurable music player software which has its own group of loyal users.
A first look at the software may not attract many users but if u spend sometime with it you are sure to fall in love with it. One can even write your own plugins to enhance it with functionalities that they love and I believe most of the plugins were born outta such efforts.
Apart from the default UI there are options like columns,Panel and the latest Facets based UI.With these one can configure the UI that suits best. The screenshot below is Facets based one which i picked from a forum.I thought this was better than the one i configured. One thing this lacks is a plugin for shoutcast channel listing which winamp does. The work around is to have ur shoutcast playlist which i do.
Delivers good sound, nice equalizer, works with portable devices and configurable to the core.It for sure packs a punch. Check it out..

check it out

Trying out new softwares is a nice thing cos you never know that some software of which you had no idea can turn about to be a really useful and user friendly tool .Likewise I found couple of nice ones recently .Both are media players.
KMplayer is a pretty kewl mediaplayer that plays any media file on earth and manages it with all its inbuilt codecs. It has a wide array of configuring options to tweak audio and video. The sound quality i thought was very good and the player doesnt eat lotta memory.I landed on this as i was searching for software to play matroska(.mkv) files which my gomplayer didnt play properly. It also has a "winamp" mode for playing audio files and supports all winamp plugins.I would say its a better video player than an audio player but overall its a nice package. Its from Korea . well I am fine as long it works for me.

Winamp gets bloated as it upgrades to newer versions and along comes ads and in fact my antivirus told me that winamp is trying to send information to the internet.Fine let me look for another peppy player for my audio player needs and my quest ended with Aimp2.Its small, fast, doesnt hog my memory and gives me very good sound output and more its looks nice with a playlist cum medialibrary combo. And i started using it as my primary audioplayer.I thought not having a shoutcast directory browser was a problem .But as a one time effort stored the shoutcast urls as bookmarks in here and i can listen to my favorite shoutcast stations in aimp2.I dont think it supports portable devices as such for which i may need to resort to itunes or winamp. But as a audio player aimp2 rocks and fits my bill. And this is Russian player . :-)

Thayir Sadham

It would not be an exaggeration if i say thayir sadham is elixir.in fact its a cure in more than one way.its an integral part of the diet of south indians and for most a meal isn't complete without it.To me its great in any form -simple thayir sadham, more sadham, with hot rice ,pazhaya sadham, yoghurt sadham ,baghalabath and with an array of thottukais(side dish). It goes great with narthangai, maavadu,Aavakkai, any pickle for that matter, kozhambu, sambar, salt(ah yes a pinch that is),mango fruit and all the podis and curries.Theres nothing like eating thayir sadham and potato curry on a hot summer day watching a cricket match..Wanted to post this as I was eating my more sadham..:-)

what is google?

Google,googled,googling....
I googled for the software and got it..
check with google..
well these are lines that are spoken pretty often these days. The influence, impact that google has created in our lives or atleast quite a number of us is very obvious in such statements. We just use them daily. google as a noun ,google as a verb and in some cases like ' rahul that google guy ' where a friend Rahul works in google , as an adjective. We need not be surprised if there were lines like what a google !!(used instead of find)..
Oh my google !!(instead of goodness-- din want to put god in here :) )..
hmm happy googling !!

"""BREAKING NEWS"""": Commotion in Sydney

In Sydney, Australia at around 3 PM in the afternoon there was sudden commotion in the parking lot and the leading alleys around the Sydney Cricket ground.Screams of Help by people and armed cops moving around were spotted.Oh well what happened .hmm from nowhere there was a group of monkeys around 23 in number were found around the Cricket Australia office at the SCG and were found to be making noises and shouting in unison.Sources Confirm that When closely examined by the animal watchers from the National Geographic society it was understood that the monkeys were complaining about racial err... Species abuse meted out against them by comparing them with a cricketer from the Australian team who probably belonged to a different species altogether.

New year resolutions

These words come every year .yes they are new year resolutions ;).
They range from getting 8 CGPA,cracking GMAT to even something like "1024 X 768" or 8.1 Megapixel" :).
Sometimes people try hard to find newer new year resolutions and more often than not end up not sticking to them.I was reading this nice article about the important new year resolutions that everyone needa follow (they are really life resolutions) and thought should share it .
